  To succeed in providing a rigorous,
college-preparatory education for young people from the
South Bronx, we need the support of all who care about
creating greater educational opportunities in
underserved neighborhoods. Throughout its history, Bronx Prep has

that education is fundamental to the formation of
responsible citizens who make an investment in their

Why does Bronx Prep need to raise
additional funds?
The charter school funding formula provides us
with 80% of the per pupil funding that
traditional public schools receive and no
funding for facilities. We use these public
funds to support our core academic program, yet
we must also raise additional funds to run a
high-quality, comprehensive program with an
extended-day and extended-year.
